HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) in it's publication of the Employer Bulletin in October offered a timely reminder of the additional reference needed when sending electronic Pay-As-You-Earn (PAYE) Payments.

To ensure that PAYE payments are allocated correctly, you will need to make the monthly payment to the thirteen-digit accounts office reference number (AOR) connected to your PAYE reference, along with the following four-digit code.

This will help to ensure all payments are allocated correctly on your PAYE File.
